Feel the history of Polish triathlon swimming in the Lake Kierskie – the venue of the first ever triathlon competition in the country held in 1984. A flat bike will take you closer to the city centre while the finish and the entire IRONMAN Village will be located in the Poznań International Fair – one of the modern landmarks of the city.
Swim
IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań will start at Lake Kierskie, which is located just outside the city and strongly tied to the Polish triathlon history, having been the venue of the first ever triathlon competition in the country, back in 1984.
Athletes can expect a pretty calm and warm water. Rolling start format will be used.
Bike
Bike course will take athletes from Lake Kierskie to T2 located at the Poznań International Fair.
You can expect a fairly flat and fast ride around small villages and the western part of the city of Poznań.
Run
The run course will take athletes closer to the city centre, allowing to feel the spirit of Poznań before finishing in the freshly renovated facilities of the Poznań International Fair which has been the city’s ‘window to the world’ for over 100 years.
