The capital of Panama, is a modern city framed by the Pacific Ocean and man-made Panama Canal considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Athletes will have one of the most panoramic views of Panama City and the Panama Canal staged by the Puente de las Americas Bridge.
Participants will swim 1.2 miles (1.9 km), in the Panama Canal pacific side, in a point to point swim. Starting in the Balboa Yatch Club and will finish 300m after the Biomuseo. Spectators will have a great view of the entire swim Course from the Calzada de Amador boardwalk. Water temperatures are expected to be around 80º Fahrenheit (28º Celsius).
Athletes will then ride a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride from the Biomuseo in a 3 loop course between Calzada de Amador and Cinta costerawhere athletes will be able to admire the contrast of the Casco Viejo and the Skyscrapers of the Panama skyline. This is a flat and fast course that will see high average speeds.
The two-loop run course will take athletes on a 13.1 mile (21km) journey through the Calzada de Amador. Participants will have one of the most panoramic views of Panama City and the Panama Canal staged by the Puente de las Americas Bridge.
The race will officially end 8.5 hours after the final wave start.
