Nutri-Grain IRONMAN 70.3 New Zealand is staged alongside the legendary IRONMAN New Zealand event. Discover nature’s ultimate playground with a pristine freshwater swim, countryside bike and stunning lakefront run.

ROKA Swim Course
1.9km swim in the clean, clear, fresh waters of Lake Taupō. The swim starts in the front of the Taupō Yacht Club with the first leg of 700m parallel to the shore followed by a second leg of 50m then returning 700m to a buoy adjacent to the Yacht Club. The final leg of 450m takes the swimmers down the outlet of the Waikato river alongside the Harbour Master building and exiting up the boat ramp. From the boat ramp athletes have a 400m run along the Boat Harbour to the steps leading to transition.

Ventum Bike Course
The 90km bike course starts to the cheers of spectators before heading into the rolling farmland surrounding Taupō. The bike course heads out from T1 onto Tongariro St, onto Lake Terrace then onto Rifle Range Road before hitting Broadlands Rd. You will take a left onto Vaile Road towards Reporoa. The return leg brings you back along Broadlands Rd to Miro St, right onto Crown St, left onto Taharepa Rd then back onto Lake Terrace then into T2 via Tongariro St.

21.1km run course is a two-lap leading athletes through town two times. Athletes will take in the flat lakefront scenery to Rainbow Drive and return.
