The Tradition Continues
The return of an icon. The IRONMAN 70.3 Louisville is proud to be part of Louisville’s rich sports heritage as we welcome athletes from all over to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind IRONMAN 70.3 race experience. Louisville, Kentucky is famous for its blend of Midwestern values and Southern warmth and hospitality, making it a city often described as either one of the most Southern cities in the North or one of the most Northern cities in the South. From its rich sports history, being home to Muhammad Ali, the Kentucky Derby, and the Louisville Slugger, to its culinary and iconic attractions, this event location is one not to miss!
IRONMAN 70.3 Louisville begins with a 1.2-mile down river swim in the Ohio River. Athletes will then transition at the Great Lawn in Waterfront Park, to a scenic 56-mile bike course leaving Louisville along River Road and continuing to the rolling hills and beautiful countryside of Oldham County. The 13.1-mile run will take athletes along the Ohio River and through several beautiful Louisville Parks on the way back to an unforgettable finish line experience downtown at Fourth Street Live, just as the original IRONMAN event did.
