Also called The Dragon City, Liuzhou belongs to the northern edge of China’s subtropical zone in north-central Guangxi Province. It is as much a well developed, modern city of industry as it is one of culture, history, and natural beauty.

IRONMAN 70.3 Liuzhou will begin with a point to point, with the current swim in the emerald green Liu River creating fast swim times. Starting from JiangBin Park, the beautiful course cuts right through the center of the city. Water temperature will vary from 14℃ to 20℃. We strongly suggest you bring your wetsuit and pay attention to all the onsite notifications. Final water temp will be posted early race morning.

The two loops bike course starts from Yaobu Town and takes riders out along the river for 23.3km and then back the same route. Athletes can expect incredible views as they parallel the Liu River on this rolling course with smooth, clean road surfaces. Total elevation gain is 337 meters.

The two loops run course offer the athlete a chance to see the beautiful and historic scenes of the city as it will take them through downtown Liuzhou and along both banks of the Liu River. The run starts and ends in Yaobu Ancient To.
