A Sprinkling of Swedish Magic

The crystal-clear lake Vättern provides a stunning center point for this race, launching athletes into enchanting forests and expansive views over the Swedish countryside. Most notably captured by fairy-tale artist John Bauer, Jönköping’s landscape has a sprinkling of magic. Designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve, the area features a total of nine lakes, which athletes will enjoy on the swim, bike, and run courses.

Swim
The one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course is of an easy out-and-back layout and located at lake Munksjön. Swim out, take two turns to the left and you are on your way back and into transition.

Bike
The one-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course showcases the beauty of the region as well as the lakes and villages surrounding Jönköping. Expect fast times but don’t underestimate the climbs that will test your legs.

Run
The three-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course leads athletes through the center of Jönköping and around the Mksjön lake offering perfect opportunities for spectators, family, and friends to cheer on you all the way to the finish line.
