Featuring a 1.9km sea swim from the sandy Claycastle beach in Youghal, followed by a 90km bike course along the undulating coastal roads and fishing villages of Ireland’s coast and ending in a fast and flat 21.1km run through the buzzing town of Youghal, this race will show you the best of the Rebel County!
Swim
Starting at Front Strand Beach, athletes will complete a 1.9km single-lap swim in the Celtic Irish Sea. New and improved this year, athletes will swim past Youghal Lighthouse into Green Park, travelling only metres to T1 before embarking on the cycle.
Bike
The one-lap 90 km (55.92 miles) bike course heads straight out into the rolling Irish countryside with a combination of flat and undulating roads with magnificent views. The course takes athletes through the scenic East Ferry, the buzzing town centre of Youghal, and the infamous Windmill Hill.
Run
The two lap 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course is the highlight of this event. Athletes run through the centre of the historical town of Youghal, taking in Youghal Harbour and the famous Clock Gate Tower. An ideal supporter hotspot gives athletes the opportunity to enjoy the cheers from their supporters all the way to the finish line at the buzzing Market Square.
