Swim
The swim start is located on a white sand beach next to the Lake Eva Park. The swim will feature a wave start.
Bike
The bike course will travel through eastern Polk County on rural roads. Aid stations will be at 18miles, 30 miles and 42 miles. It is an open course with local traffic sharing the roadway, please stay alert. Polk County support and race volunteers will be located on the bike course to help keep athletes safe. Athletes will travel through residential and country roads passing orange groves, lakes and golf courses. (Keep your head up as the course is very fast with only a few gently rolling hills.) Athletes will bring their bikes back to the same bike rack in the transition.
Run
The 13.1-mile run is a 2-loop course that will take place on paved trails and roads around Lake Eva. Aid stations will be located approximately every mile. Spectators and family members will be able to see athletes on each loop of the course as they pass the transition area at Lake EvaPark. The finish line will be right next to the Bandshell at Lake Eva Park.

I’ve done this race twice now, first time was my first ever triathlon and a year later I did it again and cut 26 minutes off my time. It’s been run for awhile and the race organizers have the race down pat. Check in, transition all seamless and it’s held at a park so fun for spectators and kids to play on the playground or water features.
The swim is a lake and very smooth. A lot of turns make for a slightly slower swim course but overall easy.
The bike has some surprise roller and hills that I heard some people grumble about but no major climbs. There is a decent climb midway right before an aid station and then the last 10 miles or so has some gain which will test tired legs.
A two loop exposed run course is hot and boring. The spectators and home owners try and help with that, playing music and spraying water in the streets as you circle the lake you swam in earlier.
Overall a great first timers race as there isn’t much to be concerned about other then heat, and is close to Orlando airport for people travelling.
