Step Back in Time in Elsinore
Staged near the legendary 15th century Kronborg Castle, the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship Elsinore is a fusion of Danish culture and nature. The course takes advantage of the woodlands and green landscapes of Denmark as well as the stunning architecture in the city. Located a short drive from Copenhagen, Elsinore will delight visitors with its cobbled streets and numerous opportunities for exploration and discovery.

The one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course starts at Elsinore Harbour in front of the historic Kronborg Castle (home to Shakespeare’s Hamlet). Study the course and memorize the turns to be prepared for race day.

The one-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course first leads along the stunning coastline before taking athletes through the Danish countryside. Don’t underestimate the smaller climbs that will make up for an entertaining bike ride!

The 3.5-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course circles the historic Kronborg castle before heading for the city center of Elsinore where tens of thousands of spectators will cheer on you all the way to the finish line.
