Dubai, known as the “City of Gold” thank to its traditional souk districts, ultramodern architecture, and lively nightlife, host the IRONMAN 70.3 Dubai. Taking place next to Burj Al Arab – the stunning seven-star hotel that has hosted celebrities from all over the world – this race bridges the exotic with the luxurious. Known to be a sell-out event annually, the race is fast, flat and the gateway to your brand new personal best time.
The one-loop 1.9 (1.2 mile) swim course is set to the backdrop of the world-famous Burj Al Arab hotel. Athletes start their swim next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and finish at Jumeirah Publich Beach before they run into transition.
The one-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course leads athletes through the city before they leave the city limits behind and venture out and into the Araban Dunes. This is considered one of the fastest course in the world if winds doesn’t come into play.
The one and a half-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course starts at transition at Jumeirah Public Beach and leads athletes along the coastline. Spectators are never more than an arm’s length away so be ready to push hard until the finish line!
