IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary at Cochrane welcomes the world to our race venue just west of Calgary in Cowboy Country.

After your race, visit the town of Cochrane and Banff National Park, Canada’s premier tourist destination.

Swim
The swim course will take place in Ghost Lake, a beautiful freshwater lake just 15 minutes west of Cochrane. This single-loop swim will feature a rolling start from the boat launch. Swimmers will head east, swimming a counterclockwise course keeping buoys to their left. 

Bike
The IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary bike course begins at Ghost Lake just west of Cochrane.  Athletes ride through Cowboy Country with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains before arriving at Cochrane’s Historic Ranche (T2).  The course will include three stocked aid stations, and safety will be ensured by local police, professional traffic control personnel and volunteers.

Run
The IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary run course is a two-loop path run with 13 aid station passes.  You’ll take in the views of the Bow River before finishing at Cochrane’s Historic Ranche.
