From start to finish the Insane Inflatable 5K is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. When we say INSANE, we mean it. As one of our participants said, “When you drive up and see the enormosity of the inflatables it’s crazy.” That’s what we were going for!
The Insane Inflatable course is one like you’ve never experienced in any other race. We spent countless hours huddled together trying to make each obstacle as unique, challenging, and most importantly — FUN — as possible.
The course length will always be approximately a 5K distance (3.1 miles), yet each venue provides it own unique terrain. Ideally, you’ll complete the course without worrying who is the fastest, most skilled or talented. Some may say we’re INSANE, but if wanting everyone who comes to our party to have fun – even if that means walking from obstacle to obstacle to conserve energy for the inflatable fun that lies ahead, then lock us up in the mad house!
The fun doesn’t stop once you’ve crossed the finish line; now it’s really time to celebrate! Along the way one of your friends is sure to have pulled off some ridiculously embarrassing moves that you won’t be able to let them live down. After all, that’s a part of the fun!
Once you are done talking up your performance and laughing at your poor friend who ripped their pants in half, swing by the Bag Check tent to pick up your bag and head into the INSANE Midway to relax and enjoy.
At the Insane Inflatable 5K it’s not all about running, what we care about most is you having a #CrazyFun day. Just show up ready to make some #CrazyFun memories with your friends and family, we’ll do the rest. When it’s time to take on our GIANT inflatables, feel free to be a kid again; you’ll laugh until you cry! Afterwards take a load off, crack open a cold beverage and reminisce in our Midway.

It’s at Cal Expo so it’s nice and flat. All the obstacles are fairly easy enough for a child to do. The only difficult one would be the leaping from ball to ball like they have on the show wipeout. Although it’s quite easy, I saw lots of injuries. Mainly ankle and knee injuries from peoplepnot putting their feet up when coming down a slide. They did a good job of controlling the waves being released with enough time in between so the course was never congested. It was my daughter’s obstacle course. She was so excited and determined to get medal at the end of course.
