The Ingolstadt Half Marathon start takes place on the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke, after a 3.5km introductory round through the historic city center, counterclockwise, past the Rathausplatz, through the Harderstraße, to the northern ring road and a detour to the street on the Schanz, it’s the same way back to the start zone.
On the south side of the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke a 4.5km long loop takes us along the Danube towards the motorway bridge into Monika-Viertel. From there we walk back to the Klenzepark and cross the Danube at the large pedestrian walkway in a northerly direction.
Now it is 1km west on the Danube promenade parallel to the castle grounds to the Glacis bridge. We pass under the castle grounds at the height of the western ring road and pass through the Glacis up to the bridge at the Hallenbad Mitte, cross the “Künettegraben” and walk past the Fronte 79 and the outdoor pool to the Jahnstraße.
The Scherbelberg high and left out of town, on the Friedhofstraße it goes at the MTV Stadium again from the north side into the Glacis. Along the Kuettergraben, the path leads us to the right on the new pedestrian walkway via the Western Ring Road. Arrived on the other side, it goes on over the flood dam on Westviertel to the Mitterschüttweg, there we turn left on the big bike / footpath direction Baggersee. Here at the Baggersee we orientate ourselves to the south and walk over the Stauseestraße to the barrage and cross the Danube. We keep left, parallel to the river in the direction of DAV Kletterhalle, now we meet on the dredgerweg. The us right bent on the DJK Tennisanlage over, west to the dam over the former Haunwöhrer station leads.
Sharp left it goes on the flood dam back east to Luitpoldpark. This we cross, run over the so-called green bridge left to Park Street. Past the municipal education center, we turn left at the Brückenkopf onto the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke into the city center. At the Rathausplatz there is a big loop back to the Konraud Adenauer bridge. Now it’s off to the left in the Klenzepark, along the Danube we walk to the Donaubühne and from there directly through the Infantriemauer to the finish line to the finish at the parade house.
The route is paved to 70%, the rest leads over well-developed footpaths. Start and finish are about 400 m apart.
Thousands of enthusiastic spectators will provide a fantastic atmosphere!
