Don’t miss the first race on the TriUtah calendar! The Ice Breaker Sprint Triathlon & 5K is a one-of-a-kind sprint pool triathlon at the American Fork Rec Center! A Utah tradition, the Ice Breaker is one you don’t want to miss! Or join us for the 5k run! Stay after the race for pancake breakfast and pictures with the TriUtah’s Eddie the Yeti!

The swim is 300 meters. Participants will start on one end of the pool and swim in a serpentine pattern. You will swim the length of the pool in lane one, duck under the lane lines and swim the length in lane two, repeat this until all 6 lanes are complete. The 12-mile bike course consists of 2 loops along the beautiful roads of American Fork and Highland townships. The run course consists of a single 5k loop course utilizing paved city streets.
