Cons:
– Aid stations not even close to acceptable
– Ran out of water
– No electrolytes for a half marathon in +80F w/ zero shade on course
– Only 2 aid stations
– No nutrition
– Understaffed. The aid station had one worker trying to fill up cups out of a single cooler that took 20 sec to fill a cup. You had to sit and wait in line to get a sip of water.
*Need to emphasize, this is mid summer in FL and not safe or considerate of racers
– Zero scenery
– Running in traffic with no way for local drivers to get around
– Staff got there late, pushed start time back
– Instead of a staggered start, they started all events at once and onto a trail wide enough for maybe 3 people. Caused a huge jam for the first miles.
– No timing mats except at start/finish
– No photographer, just someone using a cell phone at the finish line.
– All pacers way off pace
– Long sleeve cotton shirt rather odd
– None of the regular finish line amenities you would expect. Just bottles of water and couple random granola bars. No flavored refreshments, electrolytes, snacks, BEER, or vendors.
Pros:
– Cool spinning medal
– Easy parking
Other than a cool medal, not worth it
