The Holly Jolly Fun Run is a merry way to help the Santa Claus Parade, which has brought joy to Toronto for over 100 years. To keep this wonderful tradition alive, we need you to don your running shoes. Join us for the return of the Holly Jolly Fun Run! It’s just 5K and you’ll run along the same route as the Santa Claus Parade. Thousands will cheer you on as you show your festive spirit!
45 minutes before the Parade starts, runners and Christmas enthusiasts join together for the most festive 5K on record – The Holly Jolly Fun Run. Dress silly and get cheered on by hundreds of thousands of parade-goers, finishing at Maple Leaf Square. Then find your family and enjoy the Parade!
The 5km Holly Jolly Fun Run will lead the way for the Parade, starting at 11:45 am ET and will end at Maple Leaf Square. Registration is capped at 2,000 participants with all proceeds directly supporting the Parade.

This event is so much fun and well-organized behind the scenes that it’s presented as being simple.
A beautiful run through some of the nicest parts of downtown Toronto just ahead of the World-Class Santa Claus Parade.
Everyone is having a good time. The course is flat and beautiful. Lots of families and kids are cheering the runners as we run 45 minutes before the parade so it’s a great family event too.
Fairly flat course. Well serviced and the finishing area has lots of post-race support (food, hot chocolate, clean porta-potties). The music is fun, being greeted by the Raptor and Carlton the Bear (Leafs Mascot) and getting your smile on the Bug a screen are also pretty cool.
It’s easy to get there by subway (Bathurst Stn.) and also get out of Downtown (Union Station Go or Subway).
This is my second time running this event which also helps raise funds to support the century-old Toronto Santa Clause Parade, which is an important tradition to my family.
