Nice 10K with spouse in Cleveland. Parking was easy, race well organized, photos free. Keep in mind–it’s August so if the Ohio clouds stay away it will be bright and hot. I was struggling at the and but the bratwurst and beer at the Hofbräuhaus biergarten afterward satisfied the ills. I would run away from a Hofbräuhaus and return for food and beer again.
Needs improvement

First, parking is easy, across the road, swag was a T-shirt and bib only, no pump-up music at anytime, no National Anthem, water stations were small of 4-5 people, some roads had potholes but that’s Cleveland, at the finish line I had to look for my medal and bottled water. I ran this 4 years ago and its the same as back then. Did get a 1st place award of a beer glass, thanks. Would I do this one again, sure, I love half marathons.
Mediocre at best

After spending the day in Cleveland the day before the race, was super excited about this run.
Packet pick up was either Thursday or Friday from 10-3. Challenge being I was driving in and who really can packet pick up between those times? I do use the term packet loosely as all you received was a shirt and bib which I picked up race day morning.
Start line, port a potties were all a challenge to find.
The course was mostly flat on some pretty beat up roads. Did not go near Lake Erie at all! They also didn’t close the roads so you had to dodge not getting hit by turning buses or slow your pace as the buses did not stop for the runners.
No on course photographers and pretty much no spectators.
At the end of the race I had to ask for my medal since the people handing them out were too busy bickering with each other to be at the finish line.
Finding water was the next challenge. No one was handing them out there were buckets like 250 feet from the finish that people were standing around so it goes unnoticed.
Overall, race has potential but was not efficiently run.
