Coming to Vietnam you have to be used to stepping out of your comfort zone. There were some things like notication of bib information wasn’t until a week prior to the race. Race packet pick up was easy and bag drop was easy too. The start I wasn’t a fan due to so many runners pushing ther way towards the front after we were pretty full was annoying. The race started at 03:30 in the morning so there wasn’t much to see in the dark for the first half of the race. Beautiful views for the second half even though this is a down and back course. The aid stations were good at the beginning however most were out of water from mile 20 and only had sports drinks and I was at a 4:30 pace at the time. There wasn’t even any water at the finish but warm drinks so this was shocking. I went to the Circle K like many others. The race swag was excellent with a finisher shirt to go with your metal. I don’t believe I would run this race again but Ha Long Bay is a Great sight.
