    The first edition of this race was quite a treat. The first part of the course overlooked the Pacific, while the second one even included some trail running under majestic Monterey cypresses. The final part of the trail section was way too narrow to have runners in both directions, which hopefully will be corrected next year. The course was flat and well-marked throughout, with helpful volunteers at every tricky spot. Water and Gatorade stations were plentiful. The expo was tiny, with almost no swag, and with little choice in terms of food or drink to recover from the race.

    I think this was a reboot of a race in Half Moon Bay that for whatever reason went out of business. I hope it was successful enough that it will be run again in 2019 (there's no 2019 info, but it was 7 months out when I posted this. An elevation profile would be a nice addition to their website. If the timing and other factors worked out this race would be an "I want" for me. LESS
