Griffith Park Trail Run

Get ready for a trail run you won’t soon forget in the historic Griffith Park! Brace yourself for a visual treat as you hit the trails and soak up a mesmerizing variety of views. From the expansive San Gabriel and Verdugo Mountains to the buzzing Downtown Los Angeles, the charming Glendale, and that iconic observatory, this run has it all. Whether you’re a running newbie or a seasoned pro, this event is a fantastic way to explore the area’s awesome trails, whether you’re jogging, strolling, or just taking it all in.

The course is a round trip along Griffith Park’s horse and fire road trail system. We’re kicking things off at Park Center near the Lower Beacon trail, which starts with some moderate hills on a horse/pedestrian trail. Then, it’s a quick detour onto the Cadman trail before hopping onto the Coolidge trail, followed by the Upper Beacon trail, and finally, reaching Vista Del Valle. At the end of Vista Del Valle is where we’ll turn around, but not before you’ve soaked in views of Downtown LA, Glendale, the Los Angeles River, Silver Lake Reservoir, and of course, the iconic Griffith Park Observatory – all along the way!
