Today, The Great 38 Race Weekend, now in its fourth year, benefits the Chucky Mullins Endowment, which assists Ole Miss students who have a physical disability or demonstrate exceptional financial need.
Ole Miss Athletics and the entire university community come together to make The Great 38 Race Weekend the most meaningful and inspirational run in Mississippi. In 2018, over 800 participants ran in one of the three races: 5k, 8-miler, or half-marathon, through the beautiful award-winning UM campus, down the Walk of Champions, and into Vaught Hemingway Football Stadium where they saw themselves on the Jumbotron as they crossed the finish line at the38-yard line! Join us this October for this year’s Great 38!
All 8 Miler and Half Marathon Finishers receive a medal. Awards are given out for overall winners and within age groups at the post race celebration each day.
