The Global Energy Race Philadelphia takes place at Penn’s Landing, kicking off right next to the Great Plaza which is one of the city’s premier locations for outdoor concerts and festivals. This race offers panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, the Delaware River, and the Ben Franklin Bridge as well as a unique waterfront ambiance.

Global Energy Race is for everyone: competitive runners, casual walkers, families, friends, and everyday joggers looking to come out and participate in Bimbo’s healthy, active lifestyle initiative. It is truly a global event; In 2016, Global Energy Race broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the most 10K races held simultaneously worldwide on the same day!

Bimbo Bakeries is also proud to partner with local area food banks banks during September (Hunger Awareness Month). For every kilometer completed by participants, 2 slices of bread will be donated to Philabundance Food Bank to support the local Philadelphia community. Every step helps feed someone in need.
