The Franklin Park Coalition’s now-famous Turkey Trot started in 2013. Last year’s race was our biggest yet with over 1,700 neighbors and friends signing up to join us. It was also the second year in a row that we sold out well before the race (despite increasing the runner cap)!
Come join your friends and neighbors this year, and run or walk the jewel of the Emerald Necklace to start your Thanksgiving Day! Bring everyone and make it a family event. With runners and walkers coming primarily from the neighborhoods that border the park, including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan, the Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the City of Boston. We look forward to welcoming back the many families who have let us know this is their Thanksgiving tradition.
The course follows a picturesque loop around the golf course with both the start and finish near the golf course clubhouse.
Please be aware that the condition of the pathway surfaces varies and may be slippery or uneven in spots.
