The winter Fort Langley Historic Half Marathon starts and finishes in British Columbia’s birth town, Fort Langley. Sometimes there’s the perfect place to run, this is one of those perfect places. The Half Marathon route follows a great trail system, through farm fields along the Fraser River. This trail is called the Fort to Fort. We will be traveling along it from Bedford Plaza in Fort Langley through Derby Reach Provincial Park to the Half Marathon turn around.
The route is just GORGEOUS, so making all distances an out and back on the trail works out perfectly. This will allow you to take in more of this GORGEOUS scenery. The Fort-to-Fort Trail is lined with native wildflowers, lush vegetation, and views of the Fraser River and Bedford Channel. This mixed-use trail is popular with walkers, runners, and cyclists, and links the first historic site of the Hudson’s Bay Fort in Derby Reach Regional Park (Metro Vancouver) and the Fort Langley National Historic Site of Canada (Parks Canada) in Fort Langley.

A fairly hilly course
It was nice to start and end within the Fort Langley historic site. It was a reasonably hilly course along reasonably busy streets. Overall, it's not a bad race. MORE
