Fit For Life Half Marathon

The Fit For Life Half Marathon consists of three sub events, the featured Half Marathon, the 10K and the 5K. All races are flat and shady greenbelt races starting and finishing at the Boise Hawks Memorial Stadium. Come out and participate in this one of a kind home plate finish. The Half Marathon starts at 7:30am, the 10K at 7:40am, and the 5K at 7:50am. We will have unique, custom shaped medals to award Half Marathon Finishers. (The other side of this medal is given out for the City Of Trees Half Marathon, so if you run two half marathons, you get both pieces to equal one full) The event has a baseball theme and our awards reflect that theme, We will not be able to offer beer and hot dogs at the finish, we will have a pancake feed instead.

The Race course is an out and back greenbelt (paved path) course. The river will cool and the shade of the trees will protect runners for most of the course. The course starts in the parking lot at Hawks Memorial Stadium, east onto the greenbelt at the access point by the Glenwood Bridge. Due to the flooding of 2017 and bridge repair, the alternate course continues on the South side of the river to Ester Simplot and crosses the bridge to the North side of the river into Julia Davis Park, and then back again. The races are perfect bench marks for the Payette Lake Runs and the City Of Trees Marathon Events. We have a one of a kind home plate stadium finish!
