Fisherman’s Picnic Trail Run Grand Marais, MN   Aug 1, 2026

The Fisherman’s Picnic Trail Runs includes a 10K Trail Race, 5K Run/Walk and Kids Races ¼ and 1 Mile Run/Walk. The trails at Pincushion are wide and grassy with a few exposed roots and rocks. There are rolling hills with steep climbs. These trails are used for cross country skiing in the winter. The 5K course remains entirely on the nordic ski trails. The 10K course also utilizes the segment of Superior Hiking Trail within the Pincushion Trails area. 10K runners should be prepared for sections of technical terrain such as loose rocks and exposed tree roots. The course is challenging and rewarding. There is one aid station located at the approximate halfway point for the 10K race, no aid station on the 5K.
