Fancy Nonsense is CUSS Running’s autumnal running soirée where elegance meets whimsy on leaf-strewn trails. Runners don their most dapper attire to dash through a kaleidoscope of fall colors, crunching leaves underfoot. Always garnished with a touch of refined mischief, and occasionally accessorized by an unexpected cold snap.

The race starts and finishes at Red Gate Woods in the Palos Trail System just 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The course will wind you on mostly single track. The course is a semi-technical runnable 5.5 mile loop. The aid and headquarters is set up at the at the start/finish of the 5.5 mile loop!

The course is designed to allow the runner a space to return to the joy of running. Yes, you will accomplish your goal distance. More importantly, you will smile, you will laugh, you may even be a little confused. You will test your mental and physical limits while I tickle your funny bone.
