Elves vs. Reindeer Holiday 5K

The Elves vs. Reindeer Holiday 5K is happening in 2020 live and in person. After putting together a very successful Gettysburg Festival of Races in October for 700+ participants, we are confident we can put together a safe event again in December. To ensure a great safe experience, we will cap each wave at 200 people. We will begin with just a single 200 person wave at 10am. When that gets close to filling up, we’ll add a 12pm wave. If that gets close to filling up, we’ll add a 2pm wave.

Every year, the debate rages – who is the bigger helper to Santa, the Elves or the Reindeer? Since they are just good helpers and don’t like to argue, we are going to settle it for them in a fun 5K competition. Come to Wilson Farm Park in Malvern, PA and find out for yourself.

Here is how it works: everyone who registers is randomly assigned to one of the two sides to keep things even. We will give you a race number colored to reflect the side you are running for. The winning side will be decided by adding up the times of the top male and female finishers for side. We will give out prizes to all members of the winning side, so everyone has a 50% chance of winning. For 2020, we will be giving everyone a finisher prize.

Of course, we will have a lot of other amenities including long sleeve gender specific tech shirts, Chip Timing, GPS tracking with RaceJoy, lots of tasty food and drinks afterwards, and awards for the top overall finishers + age group winners in 10 year age groups.
