Run with nature at the Elm Creek Half! The route takes you on a tour of a beautiful 4,900 acre park over creeks, along several lakes, prairies and in and out of the woods. Runners will likely see a variety of wildlife including eagles, deer, loons and much more. This is a great wilderness run that is only 20 minutes north of the Twin Cities.
The course is 100% paved trails, and the race will be chip timed.
You can also run for a cause and raise money for the Three Rivers Park District Foundation to help them inspire kids to get active, especially in parks.

Beautiful smaller race
There aren't a lot of fancy frills, but Elm Creek Park is beautiful with rolling hills. Some of the trees were already changing colors. A fun repeat race. MORE

The course was gorgeous, liked the shirt and the medal is really cool. Pre-race communication was great, very clear on corrals, start time, parking, and packet pickup. Volunteers and course support was great. Only critique is the lack of snacks end of race- no Gatorade or beer- only a banana, bag of chips and water. Also needed more portapotties.
