Great flat fast course. Scenic with iconic Golden Gate as you run 1 loop for 5k or 2 for 10k. 2nd year in a row got my PB on this run. Medals given and fun atmosphere. You can opt to buy shirt. Only pet peeve is having to pick up bib or get charged to mail or pick up on race day. You can opt for shirt if you want. Good race for end of the year although a bit chilly.

I love running this route. It is Crissy Field in the Marina District, San Francisco, with the Bay alongside, to the Golden Gate Bridge, where waves are crashing onto the path, and a turnaround at a landmark old fort. For the 10k, it’s two loops. By San Francisco standards, it is level.
The organizers are competent, and the crowd is friendly. We even got parking at Sports Basement, by arriving an hour early.
Friend Ali thought he was DFL. He was not. Several more came in after him.

If you like coming in costume this is the race for you. Most everyone had elf or santa outfit on. Good things were fast, flat course along SF bay with Golden gate view. All the elves were happy and jolly with plenty of volunteers. Good vendors afterward for samples. Negatives were bib pickup required the day before and they said no same day pickup but found out they did. Advertised medals but no medals. T-shirt cost additional but how many T-shirts do you really need. $ goes to charity.
