Very well-staffed, and a scenic course away from downtown through the woods and around the lake. Decent spectating for all that, too. Challenging hill toward the end. You’ll earn your worm!

Pink Gorilla does such an awesome job putting all these races on!! Everything was well organized. Course was mostly flat, with a few, small inclines. I know a lot of runners use this run to get them ready for the Lincoln Marathon/Half that happens in May. The shirt and medal were pretty cool. I’d run this again!

A great way to start the racing season. Pink Gorilla events are well-organized, energetic, and smooth from start to finish. The Early Bird is mostly staged at Lake Zorinsky and the course is flat. There were two small hills in the final mile, going back to Walnut Grove Park. The course had three water stations, perfectly distanced from another, and a smattering of porta-potties. Staggered start corrals ensured a smooth beginning. You’re not crossing many streets, so it’s very safe for wearing headphones. An early April race can be hit/miss with weather; but the 2021 race was sunny with warm temperatures.
