Darling Dash

The Darling Dash 1K, 5K, 10K at Stude Park honors the memory of Devaughn by raising money to help continue As One Foundation’s educational programs that reach athletes, coaches, and parents to raise awareness on the dangers of sickle cell trait and intense physical activity. The race features a timed, trail course with great finisher medals, a low entry fee, and former NFL Players running to raise funds.

The As One Foundation was created by former NFL wide receiver Devard Darling after the loss of his twin brother Devaughn, also an aspiring football player, who passed away during football practice from a combination of dehydration, physical overexertion, and complications of a sickle cell trait.
