The track of the SRH Dämmer Marathon takes the participants of the full distance on a clear one-round course through Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. For the half-marathon, we have designed a fast route through Mannheim, which promises best times. The starting line-up takes place in the Augustaanlage, in order to equalize bottlenecks and to allow easy access to the starting blocks.
After the start in front of the rose garden, the field of participants circles the Friedrichsplatz in the counterclockwise direction, so when passing around the water tower, it first passes the rose garden and then the Kunsthalle. Then the athletes leave the city on the outbound road leading to the Augustaanlage towards Planetarium and continue as usual through Neuostheim and Seckenheim. Once again this year many mood nests await the participants. Thousands of euphoric spectators fire the runners on their way back towards squares.
From Seckenheim, the runner field passes by the airport Neuostheim and the Paul-Martin-Ufer to the Nationaltheater and the squares. At this point, the participants share: For the half marathon it goes over the planks and the art road towards the water tower and the finish in front of the rose garden. The marathon course continues through the squares to the castle and over the cycle path of the Adenauerbrücke to Ludwigshafen.
There it goes for the runners along the Rhine to the park island, which will again be part of the SRH Dämmer Marathon. From there the route leads past the southwest stadium to Mundenheim and Rheingönheim. Once again this year, numerous Action Points will provide a good mood and cheer for runners on the way back to Mannheim. In the final meters, participants walk through the garden hall of the Mannheim Baroque palace on a red carpet, pass the beautiful light installation in the main courtyard, and then proceed through the squares to the finish in front of the illuminated rose garden.
