There’s no real reason to do this race as a couple other than it’s just for fun to see where you stack up against others as a team. This race at Decker lake features the same course as Rookie and parts of the Austin 70.3 The swim is no big deal, but with an uphill run to T1. The bike is pretty hilly- be prepared to shift a lot! The run has some hills on it, but not terrible except the very last one, and it’s all off-road, so bring trail shoes if you’d like. Overall, it was fun, and I’d do it again if a friend wanted me to.
