Conquer the Canal Marathon Delaware City, DE   May 30, 2026

The Conquer the Canal Race Series comprises a Certified Marathon, a Certified 10K & 5K, and a Family Fun Run 5K. Each race will guide its runners alongside the beautifully scenic waterways of the C&D canal!

The races will start in the field at the beginning of the Micheal Castle Trail in Delaware City and use the trail going into Maryland to the turnaround and then back to the start where there will be a party in full swing cheering the athletic as they finish.  

The Conquer the Canal races are great for both experienced and new runners!

Why? The majority of the course is very level and on solid ground, making it a smooth run with beautiful views of the water and nature! These course conditions allow those with experience to stretch their legs and challenge their PR on a certified course while being amazing conditions for those running their first races or those ready to conquer a certified 5K, 10K or marathon!​

Your run makes a difference! The Conquer the Canal Race Series donates proceeds to many worthy local charities and non-profit organizations in New Castle County.
