The Colorado Women’s Classic is about the POSITIVE parts of being in a community of women, and the men around here support this event very well, too! So many women run this event with their training buddies – run partners, sisters, mothers, daughters and granddaughters.
We strive to treat you well, so here’s our top ten list of things you’ll notice at this race!
10) SEVEN aid stations over the course of 10 miles
9) BIB-CHIP timing (so you don’t have to stop and turn in a timing chip after you’re done!)
8) A FRESH FLOWER for every finisher
7) A remarkable MEDAL for 10 Miler Finishers (I mean, it’s practically jewelry!)
6) ICED TOWELS at the finish line
5) RAFFLE PRIZES of cool stuff….and so many of them!
4) SUPER SOFT and CLASSY race tee shirts cut for WOMEN that you can wear EVERYDAY, not just when you’re working out.
3) SO MUCH FOOD in the expo. No, seriously, SOOO MUCH FOOD…vegan, paleo, gluten free, sweet & sugary, carbs, proteins, electrolytes, dairy, fruit…..SO.VERY.MUCH.FOOD.
2) A Women-Centric Expo featuring representatives from businesses whose job it is to meet the needs of WOMEN
1) A staff of experienced and FRIENDLY race officials and volunteers who want you to succeed and are on hand to answer your questions and think about your needs before you even know you need it…like passing around the sunscreen at the start line! I mean it; WE LIKE YOU!
The course is on Big Dry Creek Trail, which is primarily CONCRETE with sections of hard packed gravel. There are a few wooden foot bridges which may be slippery when wet.
Well trained, leashed dogs are welcome on this course, as well as strollers. Please be mindful of others when running with a dog or a stroller and do not impede your fellow runners!

The course was through a park and 95% on paved trails. it was flat and we could see mountains all around us. Staff and volunteers were so wonderful. there were even gluten free cupcakes at the finish! The medal is gorgeous. I had a challenging time running at altitude, but I’m glad that I participated!
