From the Chicago Area Runners Association, Chi-Town Miles will feature a series of one-mile races on the track, with races beginning in the afternoon, concluding with the fastest sections run under the lights. Expect a high energy test of your speed, with a fun and exciting atmosphere for both racing and spectating.
The Track
The Wilson Track within the Montrose Beach area of Chicago’s Lincoln Park features an 8-lane synthetic track surface and complementary synthetic grass infield.
The Homestretch! (Beer Garden)
“The Homestretch” is the best place on the track to celebrate your race and to spectate more great racing after your run.
The Homestretch will feature an 80-meter long corral in the outside four lanes of the track ending 20 meters before the finish line. Inside The Homestretch will include a beer garden. The Homestretch is open to those 21 & older only.
Wristbands to enter the The Homestretch include two drink coupons. A wristband is included with every race registration for runners 21 & older. Spectator wristbands for “The Homestretch” are available for $10.
Exciting Announcer & Live DJ
Enjoy an exciting track announcer and a live DJ who will provide a fun atmosphere with play-by-play announcing and DJ’d music throughout the event.
