The good: the weather was delightful, the course starts out scenic on rolling hills (actually hillier than expected)…
The bad: this race is really disorganized and does not offer much. The start line was cramped, no one could hear the announcements, they only had 4 portapotties available, and the actual start was confusing. There are multiple u-turns on the course, the aid-stations were unevenly spaced (two within one mile and then a 5.5 mile gap to the next one) and set up off the road so you had to step up the curb to get water. The course was short, which others mentioned it was in previous years too. Finish line had nothing but bottled water and not enough snacks for everyone. Swag was a t-shirt and a medal. For a race that costs $70 and has sponsors (including the brewery you start and end at but isn’t open at the finish time) I would expect the course to certified or at least the right distance and a better finish line showing, maybe a free beer or more than snack packs of chipsahoy.
Disorganized and uneventful
