This year, the Buffalo Mountain Endurance Run Challenge will be running on HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!! The theme will be the BMER SCREAMER! Saturday morning start times are again 36 Hour at 7AM, 24 Hour at 8AM, 12 Hour at 9AM, 6 Hour at 10AM and 3 Hour at 11AM. Sunday Morning 6 Hour will begin at 10AM. Please join on Friday night for a pre-race cookout and hang out by the fire with some of the best folks around. The event will be at the beautiful Camp at Buffalo Mountain.
Course will be a 1.25 mile loop which is mainly paved road, but a bit of trail and grass to change it up a bit. It is NOT flat at all, but the location and scenery make up for all the uphill and downhill. This course is not record setting, so just come enjoy being with your friends and fellow runners.
Aid Station
There will be one Aid Station at the end of the loop, near the bathhouse and pool. This aid station will be fully stocked with hot and cold food. There will be the usual food/drinks – water, electrolyte drink, energy gels, cookies, fruit, potato chips, chocolate, pretzels, pb&j, broth, etc. There will be pancakes, bacon, pizza and tator tots throughout the weekend. The grill will be up and running all weekend. If you have special dietary needs/electrolyte drinks, please plan to bring your own food, but let me know as well. Runners will be allowed to set up personal supplies at their tent site or their car. There will be a bath house with flush toilets and showers at the Aid Station.
100 mile Buckles
100 mile buckles will be available for those runners who make it that far. Each buckle is hand made by my husband.
Pacers/Dogs
No pacers on the course, please. This venue is too small for extra non-registered folks to be on the course.
Also, no dogs on the course please. Due to my liability insurance, I cannot allow dogs on the course. If you or family member brings a pet, please keep it on a leash at all times and DO NOT leave unattended.
Friday night Food/Bonfire before the Race
Friday night before the race, let’s all get together and have a cookout. Tony will probably smoke some ribs again with baked potatoes. There are grills available as well, so we can cook up some burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers and anything else you would like. We can all hang out by the bonfire and catch up with each other, then everyone go to sleep and get up the next morning to run!
