The race was an out and back course with a water stop at the turnaround. The course was very flat and fast and the weather is very humid. The majority of the participants participants take part of the 1 mile run with several (three if my memory is correct) heats. Awards are after all of the races are completed, it took several hours, I had time to go eat breakfast and come back. First place walks away with a frozen turkey along with a medal. Second and third also get a medal.
