This is a really fun team oriented event that involves running 1+ loops of the ~5M Bridle Trails horse trails. Its hilly and at this time of year VERY Muddy. The team aspect makes this a fun event as each team has a runner doing their leg(s) while the rest warm/fill themselves around the heating element/picnic table and build comradery. There is also the option of running the 50K alone of course but that eliminates the team element.
What makes it hard are the hills, including a big one, and the mud. You can see that this time of year involves heavy rain and chilly weather. The 2019 race it didn’t rain during the event but did rain and even a little snow all morning leaving extremely deep puddles and muddy sections.
