Bridge of the Goddess Half Marathon Cascade Locks, OR   DISCONTINUED

The Bridge of the Goddess Half Marathon features a gorge-ous course, departing from the deck of Bridge of the Gods and spiriting you away from it all on the historic Columbia River Highway Trail. If the inclines don’t take your breath away, the views from on high surely will. Supported and safe course is a great training run for fall marathons or a destination unto itself.

Get your GODDESS on! Easy scenic drive from Portland or Hood River. Come see the amazing Columbia River Gorge! The Bridge of the Goddess Half Marathon and 10K won’t disappoint! We will begin in the town of Cascade Locks, OR on the Bridge of the Gods. Once we leave The Bridge of the Gods we will make our way onto the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail for an out and back. This course is challenging and amazingly beautiful, well-supported and safe from traffic. A great training run or walk for a fall marathon. Ferns, moss-covered rocks, waterfalls and delicate, shaded wildflowers flank the paved trail. Several U.S. Forest Service trails intersect this segment of the trail including the Pacific Crest Trail. Note: This segment has a staircase about 3 miles west of Cascade Locks. The stairs are a part of our course so be prepared to take these steps going out and coming back.

This historical trail is where motorists on old U.S. Highway 30 once crept around curves high along the cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge. This trail is amazingly beautiful and albeit a bit hilly in places the incline most likely won’t be what stops you, it will be the views. Upon your return to Cascade Locks you will finish in Marine Park where the finish line festivities will begin with both food, beer and music. NOTE: No doggies or strollers allowed on course.

Celebrate your adventure with the Goddesses along the shores of the beautiful Columbia River – nothing like it! What a starting line!! You will park at Marine Park in Cascade Locks, OR and walk a half mile to the center of the Bridge of the Gods. The Bridge of the Gods will be closed at 7:30am for staging and photo opportunities so arrive early and enjoy the scenery! You don’t want to arrive late and not be able to drive into Cascade Locks because of the bridge closure. Plan to arrive by 6:45am and please carpool.

The awards ceremony will take place in Marine Park after the race. Great atmosphere and music will be awaiting your arrival. Rogue Ales and Spirits will be hosting an awesome beer garden along with delicious burgers and garden burgers.
