The Bedrock Valley Trail Runs is a NEW trail running experience you don’t want to miss, offering something for the whole family to enjoy. Choose from the beautiful Bedrock Valley Trail Marathon, Trail Half Marathon, 15K, 5K, and bring the kids for the the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run around Diamond Valley Lake. This is truly a historic run in an ancient place. This area’s heritage begins during the Ice Age where the most concentrated amount of Mastodons once roam the earth. The remains of hundreds of Mastodons and other prehistoric dinosaurs were discovered in the bedrock of where the lake now rests.
The Bedrock Valley Trail Marathon is a great introduction into trail marathons. A fast and flat loop around the lake with a stunning single track section towards the end. Ideal for all running levels.
The Bedrock Valley Trail Half Marathon is a beautiful out and back section along the lake bed and perfect for accomplishing your first half marathon.
The Bedrock Valley 15K course challenges the runner with a little of everything: flat, fast, climbing, descending on the famous Wildflower single track trail.
The Bedrock Valley 5K is a great distance through the stunning Wildflower Trails. Great for a quick run or hike. This course does take you up and down the trails finishing along the shoreline.
The Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run is open to children 10 and younger. This is a non-timed run. All kids receive a finisher’s medal and other goodies.
This is a CUPLESS event. Please make sure to bring some form of hydration vessel for your event.

Several distance races were happening this day so this is in reference to the half marathon course. It was perfect! This was an out and back route that followed the fire road onto the dam and a small section of asphalt road.
There were some hills (4 total?) they were butt kickers but truly not that bad for a trail half. You have uninterrupted views the entire race, both of the lake and the snowcapped mountains surrounding the area.
Wooden medal is among one of my favorites now, and I appreciate that the shirt is a good soft jersey material.
Enjoyed a hazy non alcoholic beer post race from one of the vendors & had a good time rooting for the kids that were finishing the kids 1 mile run.
Overall recommend this race! Just actually show up about an hour before your race as recommended because there was a significant line to get entry into the parking area.
