Badger Mountain Challenge Richland, WA   Mar 27–28, 2026

Welcome to the Badger Mountain Challenge, one of Southeastern Washington’s only ultramarathons! Badger Mountain is the place where climbers, hikers, and runners all converge in the Tri-Cities, and our favorite local mountain offers expansive views of the beautiful Columbia Basin. Property development continues to reduce the natural spaces that are close to town, so the Badger Mountain Preserve was established in 2005 to ensure that this community has open spaces and magnificent views for outdoor recreation. The BMC focuses on these open spaces that are close to our urban centers, while we still have access to them.

The BMC is once again hosted by the Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington.

The Badger Mountain Challenge is a great opportunity to be involved in a race that has a small-town feel but with all the support of a big race. This will be a fun day for all. Even for those who aren’t competitive and would just like to hike the course while enjoying the local ridges and open spaces. All entrants can enjoy some post race food and our vendor expo after the race.
