Ascona-Locarno Run Locarno, Switzerland   Oct 10–11, 2026

The Ascona-Locarno Run is a unique opportunity to visit the region of Lake Maggiore in its lively autumn setting. Attractive locations such as Piazza Grande in Locarno – the starting and finishing point of the races – as well as the lakeside promenade of Ascona will be an integral part of the route, which can be chosen according to your sporting and competitive needs: 5 km Sunset Walk & Run, 10 km Walking & Nordic Walking, 10 km Run, 21 km Half Marathon. Children can compete with their peers at the popular Kids Run.

The 21 km Half Marathon will take place on Sunday across a breath-taking course that will take participants through the enchanting landscapes of Locarno and along the shores of Ascona’s picturesque lake.

The 10 km Walking & Nordic Walking has been introduced on Sunday and it has been renamed the City Run. On Saturday, the 5 km Sunset Walk & Run is a race where you can run or walk according to your training level.
