The Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K honors all branches of our military and first responders. Qualifying Courses for Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon & Abbott Marathon Majors Series.
The Armed Services Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 5K offers one of the more scenic courses in Michigan. While much of the course is flat, you will take on a few slightly rolling hills that keep you honest.
All courses will start and finish on the track inside the football stadium. The half-marathon and full-marathon use the same course. The half-marathon is an “out-and-back” course, and the full marathon is out-and-back twice.
This will allow your support crew to see and cheer for you more often. Aid stations will be at every mile of the course. The 5K course features one aid station serving both directions.
Each branch will have a booth and/or exhibit in the stadium. There will be a Joint Services Honor Guard presentation before the singing of the National Anthem. Each military branch will staff an aid station for your support and our participants will vote which aid station they enjoyed the most. The winning branch will be awarded the “Traveling Trophy.” The four time defending champions, the U.S. Marine Corps proudly display it in their office.
