Join to salute those men and women of our armed forces who gave their lives for our freedom. This epic half marathon is like no-other. Be challenged, be tested, and earn a piece of hardware that commemorates this special memorial holiday weekend.
New this year is the First Responders Tobin Bolter Memorial 5K. This 5K loop peaks at just over 1300 ft. offering a challenging run for those who run shorter distances. Sheriff Tobin Bolter, formerly a resident of Pleasant Hill California, was struck down in the line of duty in May 2024 while serving as a sheriff in Ada County Idaho.
For both events, please be advised that there are significant elevation changes throughout each course. You are advised to do your own research and encouraged to hike/bike/run these or similar courses prior to race day. If you do not train for this, you could be pulled from the course for your own safety. There will be cut off times at each water stop that you will need to achieve.
The Armed Forces Half & First Responders 5K will take place at the beautiful Briones Regional Park-Bear Creek Staging Area. Runners will maneuver the trail system with rolling hills and incredible views. This event will challenge and inspire. The event is capped at 500 runners for the Half and 500 runners for the 5K.

Loved demonstrating respect for our soldiers & veterans on Memorial Day Weekend! Nice Saturday morning run! Weather is great, early morning in Concord. The elevation gain is steady & not too taxing and both the descents are nice & smooth. Nice to see the different branches highlighted each year and the medal is MASSIVE! Like the celebration afterwards too! Did 20 pull-ups and got my son a Marine Corps shirt!
