Good production for the first event in a new series. The registration was easy and the after-run items were nice. Each finisher received a wooden token to exchange for a free pint and the choice of a pint glass, bottle opener, and other items. Also a raffle was included with several prizes. The run itself was pretty flat. Just a short run on a couple of streets and most of the distance covered running on the canal. The only challenge was the roads were open. No danger because of the sidewalk, but it meant waiting for the traffic light. The canal was a little muddy in places due to recent rain, but was easily navigable.
