Challenge your body and refresh your mind on the back roads of Holmes County, and enjoy hot … MORE

if you like beautiful scenery, quiet country areas, and hills, lots and lots of hills — you too will love the Amish Country Half Marathon. The race layout allows you to experience the best of rural America — you will pass by farms, horses in their pastures, and Amish families greeting you with waves, well wishes, and cowbells! At the end of the race, you end up with a wonderful medal (with spinner this year), and so much food that you might not have room for the fresh glazed donuts. The after race spread includes sandwiches, buttered noodles, fresh fruit, fresh chocolate chip cookies, chocolate milk, and of course those wonderful glazed donuts.

Set in the rolling hills of Holmes County, OH, the beauty of the course is only surpassed by the kindness of the locals and race organizers. The race coincides with Harvest Fest and Rib Cook Off. If you love ribs, you’ll love what these vendors have to offer! Lots of delicious food from local vendors. The community also shares an exceptional fireworks show during this weekend. Completely worth the travel time to get to Berlin, OH. This is a destination race that renews your spirit, while challenging your body in the very best way.

A small race in a great community. The are ridiculous or maybe it was just me recovering from a weeklong preschool given stomach bug but those hills. Brutal but the scenery just makes you smile though the pain. Local made swag for the half runners. Awesome food at the finish. Expecting to see this race sell out next year. I’ve been telling everyone how well it is run, how peaceful the area is, and hopefully ribfest will be the same weekend.

The Amish Box of Treats given to every Half runner was amazing. Competitive field with a top 3 cash prize. Horses along most of the course. Distance 100% accurate. Great hill workout!! The shirt is cozy and well made. The medal spins. Plenty of food at the end (Subs,Noodles,Cookies, and Doughnuts). Plenty of bathrooms before, during, after race. Not a giant expo but a small town Half vibe that really brings it! Parking was easy peasy.
