5K Run/Walk for the Okoa Project

This 5K is a non-competitive, fun run and walk to support The Okoa Project. Maximum participants will be 100. Please run and walk responsibly as this is a relaxed informal event for everyone of all ages.

There will be a book collection bin at the check in area for those interested in donating books for “The Olive Branch for Children” – Kick it Mobile Library.

The event is hosted by Pink United, an adult women’s soccer team that is sponsored by Pink Breast Center in Flemington, New Jersey. The Okoa Project was created when The Olive Branch and MIT started a project together to solve the issue of getting pregnant women to the hospital in Tanzania. The Okoa Project has worked under The Olive Branch for Children for 3 years, working on building ambulances and creating skill development opportunities for community members.
